This work is a collaboration with Indy van Teeffelen
A comment, an unexpected photo, or unsolicited advice. Small moments that grow into something bigger. External influences that slowly seep in, shaping and distorting our self-image. What kinds of habits are we taught when we’re constantly told we’re not good enough? To what extremes do we go to hide our insecurities?

This work explores how people deal with insecurity, and how it may alter their behavior. Through filmic imagery, it reveals the deep impact these feelings can have: people consciously adjusting how they sit or hiding parts of themselves, hoping no one will notice. The creators collected stories through interviews. They documented insecurities and behaviors and brought them together in a video. The sources are the individuals themselves, along with the influences that feed their insecurity. What often remains hidden is brought into view: how absurd, relatable, and deeply human insecurity can be.
